Clean & Clear Pimple Clearing Cleanser

Facial Cleanser with Salicylic Acid for Acne Treatment

If you are having problems with acne and can’t seem to find a facial wash or an acne cleanser that works for you, you might want to try Clean & Clear Active Clear Pimple Clearing Cleanser.  I have been using the cleanser for a couple of months and find it really effective at drying up existing pimples fast, visibly reducing redness and swelling.

Clean & Clear Active Clear Pimple Clearing Cleanser is actually a facial wash in gel form formulated to control acne. It’s main ingredients include salicylic acid which is effective at removing pore-clogging dirt, pimple-causing bacteria, and excess oils from the skin.

Another thing I really like about the Clean & Clear cleanser is that it leaves a cool, soothing feeling to the skin.  My skin really feels smooth and looks refreshed after each use.

I have since recommended the facial cleanser to my brother who has his fair share of teenage acne.  The product has helped clear his complexion and even if he still gets zits from time to time, he no longer gets those cystic and really painful ones. I guess it’s safe to say that using this cleanser is one of the many reliable ways to prevent acne.

Last week,  I was in panic mode when I thought Johnson&Johnson discontinued selling it.  Apparently, the Active Clear range was pulled out from the supermarket I frequent because it’s non-performing sales-wise.  It’s a good thing I was able to purchase the cleanser from another store.

Each 50g tube of Clean & Clear Active Pimple Clearing Cleanser retails at PhP73.  Really cheap for a product that delivers results as promised, I must say.

If you have tried using Clean & Clear Active Clear Pimple Clearing Cleanser or any product from the Active Clear range, drop me a line in the comment section.   I’d love to hear from you.

        • Brendel says:

Hi. I use the cleanser twice a day. For your moisturizer, choose one that is not oil-based.

Which Olay moisturizer are you using? I have used Olay Regenerist before and I find it thick although I didn’t have problems with it.

  • ambify says:

        • Brendel says:

Hi, I still use a toner after using the acne cleanser and follow it up with a an oil-free non-irritating moisturizer to help keep our skin supple.

Do let me know if ok ang response ng skin mo sa Clean and Clear because there’s another product that you might want to try.

i bought c&c active acne clearing cleanser.safe ba to gamitin s face ko?gsto ko kc ma reduce ung redness s acne ko eh at mwla ung pimples ko..

          • Brendel says:

If you’re not allergic to salicylic acid, the product is worth a try. Start by applying a very small amount only. If there are no irritations, you can use it regularly and hopefully, you will see visible results with continued use.

  • Aldrin says:

    Hi…

Product had moderately worked for me on a month-long usage.
Have bought it at Watsons at Php87.00

Have recently discovered the new Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleanser that promises to clear visible oils on face for 8 hours…

Yep, combining the two – I got effective results.

Thanks for additional information miss Brendel.

    • Brendel says:

Hi, Aldrin. I’m glad that it worked for you.

I gotta try the Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser. I have very oily skin so it just might work for me.

  • ambify says:

    oh ok thanks! :) )

  • La Greta says:

Hi Ms Brendel! Just want to follow up the query of ambify. Actually, I couldn’t see C & C Active Clear Pimple Clearing Cleanser in the stores and even malls nearest to our place. All I can see is C & C Active Clear Acne Clearing Cleanser so I’m confused which is which. I didn’t want to conclude that they’re the same but just want to leave a doubt that maybe they’re not. Anyway, can I ask where do you buy C & C Pimple Clearing Cleanser? Really wanted to give it a try! Thanks very much! :)

  • Rafael says:

Im now using the C&C Active Clear acne clearing cleanser (ngayong gabi lang) meron po kasi akong maliliit na pimples pero madami sila, Im so Confused madami na po akong nagamit na products kagaya ng Vaseline men facial scrub and Master oil Control, but those products only controlled my oily skin, pero ung pimples ko di nawawala. :)

    • Brendel says:

Hi, Rafael. If you can’t pinpoint the cause of your pimples/acne, consider checking if the hairstyling products that you use may be the ones causing the skin irritation.

      Hope this helped.

      • Rafael says:

Im using Fix proffessional Clay Doh Lite. I really can’t pinpoint the cause of my pimples.

        • Brendel says:

Hi. Try using the Clean & Clear cleanser for a week and then observe if ok ang response ng skin mo. You can continue using an oil control toner or astringent.

I suspect part ng cause is the hairstyling product that you use. Stress and lack of sleep can be a factor, too.

However, if your condition worsens, it is best that you consult a dermatologist.

  • enzo says:

hi, may i ask what toner and moisturizer do you use together with the Clean & Clear cleanser? and how much? thank you..

    • Brendel says:

Hi, I use a sleeping pack by Tony Moly, a Korean brand. It costs around P750 per tub. Although I like the product, I hesitate to recommend it because it’s actually an anti-wrinkle product. :-)

So I suggest you just find a light, water-based moisturizer. Nothing heavy or creamy if you have oily skin.

  • enzo says:

how about the toner? can you suggest a good toner for oily skin? thank for the info

    • Brendel says:

Hey, Enzo. I’m currently using Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent (blue) and it works well with the acne cleanser. The toner by the way is also formulated with salicylic acid for acne control. A big bottle of the toner costs around P250 up.

If you have sensitive skin, you can try using any of the oil-free toners by Clear & Clear. I used Clear Fairness toner/astringent before and it worked just fine.

  • bheng says:

    • Brendel says:

      Hi, Bheng.

The Clean & Clear Active Clear Pimple/Acne Clearing Cleanser is for oily, acne-prone skin. I’ve had very good results with the product.

However, I strongly suggest that before using it, you should make sure that you’re not allergic to its main ingredient, salicylic acid.

  • cj says:

HI.before meron na akong close pores sa noo,and my friend told me to use marykay product after 1month na gamit ko dumami ang pimple na lumabas and malalaki pa masyado, until now tinigilan ko na ang pag gamit pero meron parin na tumutubo, ano kaya sa tingin na dapat kong gawin? pls help me, ung clean and clear ba makakatulong sa problema ko kasi dati wala naman akong pimples..

    • Brendel says:

      Hi.

You can actually give Clean & Clear anti-acne products a try. Just make sure that you are not allergic to salicylic acid, the main ingredient.

However, if the pimples bother you so much, why not consult a dermatologist? The pimples may be due to an underlying cause.

Thanks for visiting my blog. :-)

  • suresh says:

what is the price of the clean and clear active clean cleanser.

  • tuttifrutti says:

    • Brendel says:

Yes, it’s the same. They now have a whole line of anti-acne products — astringent, blackhead remover, facial gel, acne spot treatment, facial wash, etc.

I have used the astringent (blue), blackhead remover scrub, and cleanser. Great products, in my opinion.

  • cheska says:

  • Loraine says:

hi! i just bought the C&C Active Clear acne clearing cleanser. kailangan pa po ba magsabon ng face bago i-apply ito, or kahit di na magsabon ng face? and gano katagal bago ito umeffect? Thanks :)

    • Brendel says:

The cleanser will serve as your facial wash. You don’t need to use soap beforehand.

As for the effects, try using it for two weeks and observe the results. But I suggest that you have to discontinue using it if irritation occurs. Watch our for itchiness, rashes, etc. The main ingredient in the cleanser is salicylic acid and some people are allergic to it.

Do let me know if the cleanser works for you.
