Two weeks ago, I finally had my hair chemically treated after enduring the coarse waves and frizz for more than 6 months.  I planned to rest my hair and scalp from all chemical treatments for a few months more but I just couldn’t stand the bad hair days any longer.

With a very limited budget, I headed off to Charmlian Hair Experts Salon and Spa where my favorite hairstylist works.  After inquiring about the rates, I asked Jun-Jun,the stylist I’ve been salon-stalking for more than 10 years, if a relaxing treatment suits my hair type and texture. After doing the finger strand test, he said it’s okay and   started the hair relaxing process.

At Charmlian Hair Experts Spa & Salon, the hair relaxing treatment process is just like that of hair rebonding.  The treatment involved the application of a hair relaxant (they use Matrix salon products), a neutralizer, and a conditioning treatment.  The junior hairdresser, Bernadette, meticulously ironed my hair twice.

All in all, I’m very pleased with the results as my hair’s visibly straighter and smoother. The salon is clean and spacious and the staff skilled and courteous.
