I love Maybelline New York. I have some of their eyeliners, used and loved their mascaras, think highly of the AngelFit Two Way Cake and the Clear Smooth Aqua Gel foundations.
But no matter how good and popular a make-up skin care line is, you can’t say you’ll find a true match in all of their products.
So if there’s one Maybelline product that works wonders on people I know but sadly doesn’t do much for me, it’s the Maybelline BB Cream.
I bought a tube of Maybelline BB Cream because the BB Cream (beblesh balm cream/blemish balm cream) is one of hottest trends in make-up and skin care right now and of course, I still haven’t convinced myself to buy the pricier BB Creams by Missha and L’egere.
When I purchased the Maybelline BB Cream, I found out that the shade is much too dark for me. Worse, I have really oily skin which is very acidic so anything I put on my face like liquid and powder foundation turns one or two shades darker a couple of minutes after application.
So after using the Maybelline BB Cream a couple of times and noticed the orangey-grayish cast it leaves on my skin, I decided to give it to one of my friends. She has normal skin that doesn’t need much coverage so I guess the BB cream best suits her complexion. Another blogger friend also loves Maybelline BB Cream and here’s her review on the product.
As for me, until I decide to buy another brand of BB Cream, I’ll have to be make do with a non-comedogenic sunblock and a powder foundation (like AngelFit in Light Beige Ochre) that matches my skin tone.

Maybelline BB Cream is not a pimple control cream. It is still makeup.

I don’t remember if it’s non-comedogenic. However, I didn’t get zits when I was still using the product.
