I had a mini crisis yesterday when I realized that I’m almost out of Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel, currently my favorite body moisturiser.
I normally don’t freak out over things like this but Nature Republic’s aloe gel is very popular so it is quite hard to come by. In Manila, where there are a number of Nature Republic stores, it is one of the bestsellers so people really hoard. Furthermore, there is no Nature Republic Store in Davao City so I buy my supply from eBay. And luckily for me, a few sellers still have stocks on hand so there’s no need for crisis intervention. :-p
So what do I like about this aloe gel? First, it is a great all-around moisturizer. I have used it as a light face and body moisturizer, and it works great. The manufacturer claims that each tub contains 92% aloe vera and I guess this is the reason why the Nature Republic aloe gel soothes and softens the skin splendidly. Secondly, it is affordable at Php300 per 300 ml tub. Each tub lasts about two months for me as I apply the gel liberally.

Hey, sweeties! I’m back again. It’s sweltering hot here in my room but I’m on a roll. I still feel like doing another blog post so I’m just going to take the advantage of this episode of diligence.
Oh well, I’m finally doing a short review on the Missha All-Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk (SPF50+/PA+++). I have been using this awesome sunscreen for more than 5 months so I can be objective with what I like and what I don’t like about it.

When it comes to skin care, I tend to spend more than what I’d normally spend on makeup. And I love Korean skin care products, more so when they’re super affordable. So it’s no secret that I often visit Etude House at Abreeza Mall because the store always carry something that catches my fancy.
A few weeks ago, I treated myself to number of Etude House skin care items:
- Moistfull Massage Mask, P398
- Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam, P148
- Moistfull Collagen Mask Sheet, P98
- Essence Mask Collagen, P58
- Essence Mask Vitamin C, P58
- I Need You, Green Tea Mask Sheet, P58
- I Need You Aloe Mask Sheet, P58
- Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream (Lemon Tea), P198

There was a time when I wasn’t so concerned about my skin care regimen. I would buy a skin care product just because I saw it being advertised on TV, without care if its the right product for my skin type. And when it comes to purchasing facial washes and cleansers, I bought those that promise to have serious exfoliating and whitening properties. I never understood why people would buy mild facial cleansers. I would hoard on strong cleansers and papaya soaps and use them religiously thinking both are more suitable for my oily, acne-prone skin.
The use of products with harsh ingredients really took its toll on my skin. I broke out a lot and now have premature lines and wrinkles. So sometime last year, I finally decided to made significant changes to my skincare routine by using mild cleansers and facial washes. And true enough, I no longer get those nasty zits as often as I used to.

One of the Korean skin care brands I really like is Nature Republic. I have the Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream, Fresh Farm Foam Cleanser (Rice), and Omega Wrinkle Filler Mask Sheets.
Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream (P485)
I’m currently using the Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream (01/pink beige) and I find it a little too pink for my skin tone. I know, it was silly of me but I have oily skin that’s very acidic so I had to go for the lighter shade. The BB cream provides medium coverage and I find it easy to blend. It also has a built-in SPF 35 PA++ sunscreen.
